Have you ever been trying to find a screwdriver to take the screws out of a toy while a child stands there crying because its toy has dead batteries? Well with a multipurpose tool makes a handy toolbox that you can wear on your hip in its own sheath.
Multipurpose tools have a variety of different configurations for the different applications that they can be used for. Which nobody likes being in an emergency situations, but they do happen.
The pliers also make removing the fish hook from the fish much easier, without having to carry one in your tackle box. They do make a good addition to any tackle box without taking up to much valuable space. It provides screwdrivers and pliers to fix a fishing reel while out at the fishing hole.
Many of the multipurpose tools have a lanyard so it will make it easier to attach it to the Fishing Vest or life jacket so it will not be dropped into the water and lost. With the lanyard, pliers, and screwdrivers it is almost a necessity for any tackle box or weekend fisherman.
Multipurpose tools also have a Phillips screwdriver or two of different sizes to provide you with the right tool for the job, a stripped out Phillips screw is a real problem to remove. Phillips screws are one of those special holding devices that need special designed tools to remove without damaging. So having two different sizes makes the job easier to complete. Carrying a multipurpose tool can make chore of removing and replacing the Phillips screw easy and quickly accomplished.
Some multipurpose tools have adapters that allow you to change screwdriver bits from Phillips to straight bits. They also have adapters that allow you to use sockets for bolts adding more versatilities with the tool making it a more complete toolbox.
